2010 Spring Drive

Olympic Peninsula

For this year's Spring Drive, we will be joining our friends in Washington for a scenic drive to the Olympic Peninsula, in Washington State. This event is be ing organised by Steve Yabroff and Ben Huntley in conjunction with Puget Sound VCOA

For those members interested in staying at the Day's Inn, registration should be made as early as possible.

Schedule
9:30 am Meet at Hurricane Ridge Visitor's Center. NOTE: this is a National Park and the will be an entry fee of $15 per vehicle.

10:00 am Event commences:
Explore in and around Hurricane Ridge Park, take advantage of great picture opportunities. First Raffle
Cruise to Lake Crescent, enjoy YOUR Picnic Lunch at the lake Second Raffle after lunch
Crescent Beach-drive by, view the beautiful Straits of Juan De Fuca.
Ediz Hook: Drive & park at end of hook for some incredible views of Port Angeles and the Olympic Mountains. Third Raffle
5:00 pm Projected completion of drive Fourth Raffle
5:15 - 6:00 pm Return to motel and freshen up in preparation for group dinner.
6:00 pm Gather in motel lobby for drive to restaurant
9:00 am Sunday Breakfast hosted by Ben & Reenie. Homemade waffles, juice and coffee. Directions included in Saturday's maps/directions. $ 5.00 donation appreciated.

Hotel Reservations for those staying over for the Special Sunday Breakfast

We have arranged a Group rate of $60.00+taxes at the Days Inn, 1510 E Front St., Port Angeles, for the night of June 12, 2010. If space is available, you can also get this rate for the night of June 11th too, but don't wait.

You must make your reservation BEFORE June 1st and reference "Nippon Paper Industries" to get this rate! Call 360-452-4015. Your choice of either 1 or 2 Queen beds (some smoking, some non-smoking). There are pet rooms available too, but you must specify in advance. All have rooms fridges and microwaves, and there is a spa and pool.
